The Little Mister - Episode 7 (Off Week)

ASHLEY: Okay! Great, great, great!
MATT: Yeah, so action to create it, and then bonus action to give it.
ASHLEY: He's going to throw a Flame Seed!
MATT: All right, so you watch as Mister leaps off of her shoulder. As it does,--
LAURA: Good job, Mister!
MATT: -- you watch this tiny monkey--
LAURA: How do you want to do this?
MATT: -- that at this point, aside from those who traveled here with Fearne, has been just this little furry monkey that stays hidden in her hair and underneath the cloak and occasionally emerges and screams. Now, you watch as it leaps off of the shoulders, suddenly it bursts into flames around it, and is now this elemental burning monkey on the ground that (screeches), reaches back--
ASHLEY: Big boy!
MATT: -- grabs a chunk of... monkey... flame--
LAURA: Oh!
MATT: and (screeches)--
ASHLEY: Flame seed!
MATT: -- (whooshes) throws it over at this giant, mouth-covered wall. Go ahead and roll an attack for him.
ASHLEY: Okay.
SAM: That's unsanitary.
LIAM: Flamin' dook.
MARISHA: Just going to throw shit at the wall.
LIAM, SAM, and MARISHA: See what sticks.
MATT: Oh my god, yes, that's exactly what she's doing.
ROBBIE: Come on, Mister.

A mixed drink in a cup with a yellow straw

The Little Mister

What a good boy!

In honor of everyone's favorite fire spirit animal, we've got a drink for all of the Little Mister fans out there! I apologize to those who don't consume alcohol, as this is 100% alcoholic, and there aren't great non-alcoholic alternatives. I try to be cognizant about that when I can, but there was no getting around it for this little guy. But, I encourage you to go check out Bertrand Bell's Usual, which does have a non-alcoholic option!

All of the images here show the recipe doubled. After I made it I realized I made way too much for how strong this ended up being. Please enjoy the drink responsibly and carefully.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rum Chata
  • 1/2 shot Fireball whiskey
  • 1/2 shot Banana liquor
  • Ice

Directions

  1. If you have a cocktail shaker, great! If not, a mason jar will work as a good substitute. Mix all of the ingredients in a jar or shaker and shake for about a minute.
  2. Pour over more ice and serve with a straw

Tips, Suggestions, and Substitutions

Tips & Suggestions

  • I find this drink is best served with lots of ice because I prefer it chilled.
  • You can certainly double the recipe, very easily, but it just ends up feeling like a lot, especially since Rum Chata is best consumed slowly or gradually.

Substitutions

  • You can use any banana liquor. I found the 99 Bananas was pretty good but it's strong (99 proof). It tasted more like banana extract to me though, or those Runts candy bananas, but I like those!
  • If you want to add some of your own "flame seeds" (lol) toss in a few mini chocolate chips, or add chocolate shavings. Little chocolate never hurt anyone!
  • Want it as a shot instead? Fill the shot glass half full with  Rum Chata, then do a quarter of Fireball, and a quarter of Banana Liquor. That's sure to awaken your fire spirit! Whoo!

In Conclusion...

I've described this to non-Critters as being a lot like a Bananas Foster in a cup. Which they think sounds really good! I'm not typically a banana fan myself but this was definitely worth drinking. I searched all over the internet for something like this, and while I found a few things that sounded good, I wanted something more straightforward but also tasty. Cinamon and banana and cream are such classic flavor combinations, why are there not more drinks with them?! But this recipe makes me giggle. Yet I feel it's the perfect representation of little mister.

I am not a mixologist, but I like playing with flavors and drink combinations! If you have suggestions on how to make this better I am open to it (maybe some whipped cream?) And, as always, if you have any questions or suggestions, or just wanna say hi, please leave them in the comments below. Remember to follow me on Pinterest or Twitter, if those kinds of things are your jam. Thanks for visiting, and Happy New Year! Don't forget to love each other. Is it Thursday, yet?

Are you ready to hop in?
